Art Basel's Show Management will be in attendance, as will the members of the Art Basel Selection Committee. All will be happy to provide information and give interviews from 10.30 a.m. to 11 a.m. The vernissage for invited guests and the media (admitted upon presentation of the press ticket) takes place that evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Online pre-accrediation
Online pre-accreditation may be made from April 1 through
June 4, 2010. After this deadline you can register directly in the Media Center of Art Basel.
Press Accreditation on site
Journalists can receive their accreditation directly at
Art 41 Basel, Media Center in the Messeturm (opposite the
Hall 2 entrance). Upon presentation of a valid press ID or letter of assignment from your editor, you will receive a press ticket for free admission throughout the show, authorisation to photograph and film, a catalog, press documentation, photos for publication, exhibitor press releases and other information.
Media Center services
The Media Center is at your service daily, starting 30 minutes before the show opens and lasting until 30 minutes after it closes. Staffed by our press representatives, it offers workplaces and communication facilities (phone, fax, personal computers with internet access).
Catalog
The online catalog of Art 40 Basel can be searched on our website. Journalists receive a free copy of the catalog published by Hatje Cantz in the Media Center. The catalog cannot be sent in advance or forwarded after the show.
Parking spaces
A limited number of parking spaces is available for media representatives, in the outdoor parking lot on Riehenstrasse, behind building 3 of Messe Basel. The press parking card - which can be collected in the Media Center together with your accreditation - is valid for access to this lot for the duration of
Art Basel. Should all press parking spaces be taken, please use the multi-level public parking garage adjoining the press parking area. To do so free of charge, take a parking ticket on entry and exchange this for an exit ticket at the Media Center.
Art Basel is unable to guarantee vacant parking spaces, however, and you are thus kindly requested to use public transport whenever possible. |
