In 1967, Konrad Fischer opened his gallery in Düsseldorf with a work by Carl Andre. This inaugural exhibition was also Andre’s first solo exhibition in Europe (and the artist was largely unknown there). To celebrate the gallery’s 50th anniversary and in honor of 50 years of cooperation with the artist, we are exhibiting 20 Meter Steel Triangle. The work has only previously been shown at the Middelheim Open Air Sculpture Museum, Antwerp, in 1983, and at the Skulpturenpark Waldfrieden, Wuppertal, in 2015.
