The city-wide exhibitions and events of LA/LA explore Latin American and Latino art in dialogue with Los Angeles. Using this as a starting point, this talk focuses on the importance of collaboration between a range of institutions and players, from museums to galleries to artists. How do these entities work together to encourage growth in and awareness of both regional art scenes? What challenges do such multi-party projects face? What is the expected outcome of this long-term research and relationship-building venture?
