Our Hong Kong show, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, features premier galleries from Asia and beyond. Underlining Art Basel's commitment to the region, half of the participating galleries once again have exhibition spaces in Asia and Asia-Pacific. The show provides an in-depth overview of the region’s diversity through both historical material and cutting-edge works by established and emerging artists.

'OVR: Portals'&nbsp;will focus on artistic practices that interrogate the parameters that have shaped our contemporary condition, both through current and historical lenses. Together, the featured presentations will address the disconnected realities that arose as a consequence of the events of the past year. This iteration of Online Viewing Rooms will be curated by&nbsp;Magali Arriola, Christina Li, and Larry Ossei-Mensah.

OVR: Portals

Our Basel show brings the international artworld together, with 290 of the world's leading galleries showing the works of over 4,000 artists. A full program of artworld talks takes place each day. Exhibitions and events are also offered by cultural institutions in Basel and the surrounding area, creating an exciting, region-wide art week.

In our American show, leading galleries from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa show significant work from the masters of Modern and contemporary art, as well as the new generation of emerging stars. Paintings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and editioned works of the highest quality are on display in the main exhibition hall.

Art Basel extends its engagement beyond art fairs through complementary initiatives dedicated to supporting the artworld’s key players and fortifying the art ecosystem at large. These endeavors include the BMW Art Journey, a joint initiative launched in 2015 with BMW to recognize and support emerging artists worldwide; Art Basel Cities, which since 2016 has worked with select partner cities to develop dynamic programming and connect them to Art Basel’s international network; and the Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report, a comprehensive analysis published annually since 2017<a href="https://shop.designmiami.com/" target="_blank">.</a>
