This project in particular takes as its starting point, a pending conversation with modernity, from Latin America. The idea is to build a series of paintings on paper from the waste that this left in its wake (burned oil from automobile engines).
Fundamentally the project consists of a body of works painted with used motor oil that denote all the paraphernalia of geometric abstract painting very present in the southern cone of Latin America mainly, from this point I try to open a conversation that I consider pertinent with “History of the Universal Art “, from this region, building untimely a parasitic geometry from the great promise of modernity: Progress (which still continues as a great promise in every government speech, and in every electoral campaign).
