Le Violon Bleu

Founded in 2003 by Essia Hamdi, Le Violon Bleu is the result of a journey began in 1987 with Atyqua. Originally a heritage space for Islamic art, Atyqua served as a repository for the region’s aesthetic history. By assembling a collection of rigorous standards, Essia established a core thesis: modernity cannot be articulated without the formal depth of preceding traditions. The contemporary is not a departure from the past, but a dialogue with it.
