Galerie Max Hetzler
Galerie Max Hetzler was founded in 1974 in Stuttgart, moved to Cologne in 1982, and is located in Berlin since 1993, currently with two venues in Berlin-Charlottenburg. The gallery opened a branch in Paris in 2014, and is represented with a space in London since fall 2018. Since its inception, Galerie Max Hetzler has presented exhibitions of established and emerging contemporary art and its program has continued to evolve with the artists it has been showing since the 1980s. The gallery's practice comprises the publication of numerous exhibition catalogues, monographs and artist books, as well as the regular participation at fairs worldwide, such as Art Basel since 1982 and Art Basel Miami Beach since 2002. Artists of the gallery (selection): Ai Weiwei, Darren Almond, Glenn Brown, André Butzer, Jérémy Demester, Rineke Dijkstra, Ida Ekblad, Jeff Elrod, Urs Fischer, Günther Förg, Ron Gorchov, Loris Gréaud, Robert Grosvenor, Raymond Hains, Liz Larner, Inge Mahn, Marepe, Beatriz Milhazes, Ernesto Neto, Navid Nuur, Albert Oehlen, Adam Pendleton, Richard Prince, Bridget Riley, Julian Schnabel, Thomas Struth, Ida Tursic & Wilfried Mille, Edmund de Waal, Rebecca Warren, Christopher Wool, Toby Ziegler. Exhibitions in 2018 included Albert Oehlen and Julian Schnabel, Ron Gorchov, Thomas Struth, Loris Gréaud, Robert Grosvenor and Richard Prince, Charles Gaines as well as a comprehensive group exhibition with major art works from the 1980s, amongst others. Exhibitions in 2019 include Urs Fischer, Adam Pendleton, Jeff Elrod, André Butzer, Günther Förg and Edmund de Waal, amongst others.
