WHITE SPACE was founded in 2004 in 798 Art District, Beijing. After relocating to a 1,500-square-meter gallery space in Caochangdi in 2009, it launched a new artistic program, becoming China’s first contemporary art gallery primarily dedicated to emerging young artists. In 2021, WHITE SPACE opened a 700-square-meter gallery space within the BSQ Beijing Art Freeport.
