Monica De Cardenas Gallery was founded in 1992 in Milan, Italy. From the beginning, the gallery established itself as an important player in the contemporary art scene, focusing on promoting both emerging and established artists, while quickly gaining a reputation for discovering and nurturing artists who would go on to achieve international recognition.
