MtK Contemporary Art

Established in 2021, MtK Contemporary Art is located in the heart of Kyoto’s vibrant cultural district, Okazaki—home to major institutions such as the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art and the National Museum of Modern Art, Kyoto. Situated in a designated landscape preservation area, the gallery preserves the traditional and historical features of its building and Japanese garden. The 97.2-square-meter exhibition space is characterized by its distinctive inverted hull ceiling.
