A&R Fleury Paris

A-R-FLEURY

Founded in 1988 by Christian Fleury, A&R Fleury has evolved into a dynamic space for modern and contemporary art under the leadership of his two sons, Alexandre and Richard. Located on Avenue Matignon in Paris since 2007, the gallery specializes in the secondary market, with a particular focus on rediscovering artists and recontextualizing certain aspects of their artistic research.

A&R Fleury collaborates with artists’ estates, notably those of Alicia Penalba and Geneviève Claisse, and is committed to offering new perspectives on their work while highlighting their impact on contemporary art. It actively contributes to the recognition of Penalba’s work through ambitious exhibitions such as «Le Langage des formes» (2021), presented at the gallery and at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine in Paris. The gallery presented a project curated by Victoria Giraudo, chief curator of the MALBA in Buenos Aires, entitled «The Path to Consecration» (2024), bringing together the two winners of the 1961 São Paulo Biennial, Maria Helena Vieira da Silva and Alicia Penalba. In 2026, an exhibition exclusively on the artist’s mural works will be revealed for the first time, already attracting the interest of Qatar Museums, who acquired one of those emblematic works from the gallery last year.

A&R Fleury also contributes to enriching historical narratives through publications dedicated to its projects or produced in partnership, such as with Longchamp (2026). Geneviève Claisse’s work was presented in parallel at the gallery and in boutiques in Paris, Shanghai and Tokyo. The promotion of Claisse’s work is in line with major collaborations with institutions such as the Centre Pompidou and the Collection Société Générale. 

Through strategic initiatives and rigorous research, A&R Fleury fosters thoughtful dialogue between historical heritage and contemporary appreciation, enabling them to advise collectors and institutions on the acquisition of major works for their collections.
