The Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum is FIU's premier on-campus museum. Since we opened our doors in 2008, the museum has provided the community with access to world-class art that spans cultures and time periods. As one of the largest academic museums in South Florida, Frost Art Museum provides FIU students opportunities to engage with art through our exhibitions, collections, internships, and more. While our educational programming expands access to art for K-12 schools and families in the Miami-Dade and beyond.

HistoryMiami Museum
HistoryMiami, a Smithsonian Affiliate in Downtown Miami celebrates the magic city through exhibitions, city tours, programs and more. Now celebrating it's 83rd year, the museum's mission is to share and safeguard Miami stories to foster learning, create a sense of place and cultivate an engaged community. The museum is a 70,000 square foot facility and home to more than 2 million images and 30,000 artifacts including a 1920s trolley and a raft that brought refugees to Miami.

Miami Children’s Museum
Miami Children’s Museum offers 17 galleries where children are inspired to learn about themselves and the culturally diverse community we live in through art, science, literacy and early childhood education. MOCA North Miami

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens
Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a unique, sub-tropical estate located on Biscayne Bay in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami. It is a National Historic Landmark that preserves the estate of agricultural industrialist James Deering, and aims to engage the community and its visitors in learning through the arts, history and the environment. It has been recognized internationally for its cultural and historic significance, exemplary preservation, and dynamic visitor experience. In 1952, Vizcaya was conveyed from the Deering family to Miami Dade County, and quickly emerged as a cultural institution in South Florida. For 100 years, Vizcaya has been a place for people to gather, learn, engage in social activity, and find inspiration. Its continued evolution will cement its role as Miami's cultural hub.

Wynwood Walls
Wynwood Walls is the world’s leading outdoor street art museum, opened in 2009, and curated by Jessica Goldman Srebnick. The museum is an ever-evolving collection of narrative-driven murals & sculptures by more than 120 world-renowned artists representing more than 25 countries. The museum continues to elevate the movement of the street art genre while subsequently building community for the Miami arts district. A visit to Wynwood Walls includes access to the Goldman Global Arts Gallery featuring rotating solo artist exhibits.

Entrance into this prestigious organization starts with a highly competitive application for talented artists ages 15–18, or grades 10–12, in the United States that is judged by esteemed discipline-specific panels of artists through a rigorous adjudication process.

The Craig Robins Collection features 1300 works of contemporary art and innovative design exhibited in the Miami Design District. ‘A Train of Thoughts’, the 2023-2024 rotation, focuses on two core subgroups of the collection, figuration and conceptualism, highlighting a collecting history that has favored a taste for the abject and hyperbolic image, in tandem with the self-reflexivity of art based on ideas - a seemingly incompatible pair that yields unexpected dialogues.

Established in 2005 by Venezuelan entrepreneur Juan Carlos Maldonado, the JCMC has an ever-expanding art collection that is activated by public programming and includes dynamic exhibitions, scholarly publications, and loans of works to institutions.

The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse*
Consistently named to lists such as the ARTnews Top 200 Collectors, the Margulies collection is considered by curators, critics, artists, dealers and collectors as one of the most important collections of its kind. With a stated mission of education in the arts, the Warehouse has welcomed thousands of students and visitors from all over the world. The Warehouse is operated and funded by the Martin Z. Margulies Foundation, a thirty-year resource for the study and enjoyment of the visual arts. The longtime curator of the collection is Katherine Hinds.

Marquez Art Projects
Marquez Art Projects (MAP) is a non-profit foundation dedicated to championing emerging visual artists. Located in the Allapattah neighborhood of Miami, MAP hosts exhibitions, supports the creation of new work, and connects artists with wide and diverse audiences. Founded by John Marquez, a lifelong resident of Miami, MAP takes inspiration from the Magic City and seeks to foster dialogue locally and globally.

Rubell Museum
The Rubell Museum opened in Miami’s Allapattah neighborhood in December 2019. Originally launched in 1993 as the Rubell Family Collection, the institution was renamed the Rubell Museum to emphasize its public mission and expand access for audiences. In October 2022, the Rubell Family opened a second museum in DC’s Southwest neighborhood that serves as a place for the public to engage with the most compelling national and international artists of our time.

Girls’ Club
Girls’ Club is a nonprofit private foundation and alternative space established in 2006 by Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz. Girls’ Club produces exhibitions, educational programming, publications and events that change lives, nurture local artists, and inspire cultural growth in South Florida. Girls' Club is the only private collection open to the public that focuses on contemporary art by women in the world.
