The City of Miami Black Police Precinct and Courthouse Museum stands as a historic landmark, the only institution of its kind in the nation, strategically located in one of Miami&rsquo;s oldest communities known today as Overtown "The Harlem of the South". This museum preserves and shares the profound history and contributions of Miami&rsquo;s early Black settlers in law enforcement and the judicial systems during the era of segregation and Jim Crow laws. Boasting a distinctive collection of oral histories, law enforcement and judicial artifacts, and memorabilia, the museum serves as a vital resource for historical education. Throughout the year, it curates a series of compelling art exhibits that further amplify its mission and vision.

The Patricia &amp; Phillip Frost Art Museum is FIU's premier on-campus museum. Since we opened our doors in 2008, the museum has provided the community with access to world-class art that spans cultures and time periods. As one of the largest academic museums in South Florida, Frost Art Museum provides FIU students opportunities to engage with art through our exhibitions, collections, internships, and more. While our educational programming expands access to art for K-12 schools and families in the Miami-Dade and beyond.

HistoryMiami, a Smithsonian Affiliate in Downtown Miami celebrates the magic city through exhibitions, city tours, programs and more. Now celebrating it's 83rd year, the museum's mission is to share and safeguard Miami stories to foster learning, create a sense of place and cultivate an engaged community. The museum is a 70,000 square foot facility and home to more than 2 million images and 30,000 artifacts including a 1920s trolley and a raft that brought refugees to Miami.

Oolite Arts is the leading force shaping the visual arts landscape in South Florida. Now in its 40th anniversary year, the organization continues to champion artists through free studios, bold exhibitions, transformative residencies and more than $3.6 million in direct support. Oolite Arts has expanded its opportunities for artists by opening its applications beyond Miami Dade to include Broward, Monroe and Palm Beach counties for the first time, offering rare unrestricted funding across the region. The organization is growing internationally as well by bringing influential curators and cultural leaders to South Florida and by expanding its Home and Away residency program with a new destination in Johannesburg. Oolite Arts will reach its next major milestone in 2026 with the groundbreaking of a new 26,850 square foot campus in Little River that will double studio capacity, expand maker spaces and create a vibrant hub for artistic innovation throughout South Florida.

The World Erotic Art Museum is the largest private collection of erotic art in the world, and the only museum in the United States dedicated to erotic art. The collection includes over 4000 pieces from around the world, dating from 300 BCE to the present.

The Wilzig Museum

Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a unique, sub-tropical estate located on Biscayne Bay in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami. It is a National Historic Landmark that preserves the estate of agricultural industrialist James Deering, and aims to engage the community and its visitors in learning through the arts, history and the environment. It has been recognized internationally for its cultural and historic significance, exemplary preservation, and dynamic visitor experience. In 1952, Vizcaya was conveyed from the Deering family to Miami Dade County, and quickly emerged as a cultural institution in South Florida. For 100 years, Vizcaya has been a place for people to gather, learn, engage in social activity, and find inspiration. Its continued evolution will cement its role as Miami's cultural hub.

Wynwood Walls is the world&rsquo;s leading outdoor street art museum, opened in 2009, and curated by Jessica Goldman Srebnick. The museum is an ever-evolving collection of narrative-driven murals &amp; sculptures by more than 120 world-renowned artists representing more than 25 countries. The museum continues to elevate the movement of the street art genre while subsequently building community for the Miami arts district. A visit to Wynwood Walls includes access to the Goldman Global Arts Gallery featuring rotating solo artist exhibits.

Young At Art Museum is a pioneering cultural institution since 1989, dedicated to igniting creativity, imagination, and learning through the arts. Located in Plantation, Florida, YAA offers innovative hands-on exhibits, programs, art education, and workshops that inspire and engage audiences of all ages. With a commitment to inclusivity and community enrichment, YAA serves as a hub for artistic exploration and education.

Established in 1981 by Lin and Ted Arison, YoungArts &ndash; the national foundation for the advancement of artists &ndash; identifies exceptional young artists, amplifies their potential, and invests in their lifelong creative freedom. YoungArts provides space, funding, mentorship, professional development and community throughout artists&rsquo; careers. Entrance into this prestigious organization starts with a highly competitive application for talented artists ages 15&ndash;18, or grades 10&ndash;12, in the United States that is judged by esteemed discipline-specific panels of artists through a rigorous adjudication process.

The Craig Robins Collection features 1300 works of contemporary art and innovative design exhibited in the Miami Design District. &lsquo;A Train of Thoughts&rsquo;, the 2023-2024 rotation, focuses on two core subgroups of the collection, figuration and conceptualism, highlighting a collecting history that has favored a taste for the abject and hyperbolic image, in tandem with the self-reflexivity of art based on ideas - a seemingly incompatible pair that yields unexpected dialogues.

El Espacio 23 is a contemporary art space founded by collector and philanthropist Jorge M. P&eacute;rez. Located within a repurposed 28,000 square foot warehouse in Miami&rsquo;s Allapattah neighborhood, El Espacio 23 serves artists, curators and the general public with regular exhibitions, residencies and a variety of special projects drawn from the P&eacute;rez Collection.

Girls&rsquo; Club is a nonprofit private foundation and alternative space established in 2006 by Francie Bishop Good and David Horvitz. Girls&rsquo; Club produces exhibitions, educational programming, publications and events that change lives, nurture local artists, and inspire cultural growth in South Florida. Girls' Club is the only private collection open to the public that focuses on contemporary art by women in the world.&nbsp;

The mission of Juan Carlos Maldonado Collection (JCMC) is to contribute to the study and appreciation of Geometric Abstraction as a universal artistic language that transcends geographies and cultural backgrounds. Established in 2005 by Venezuelan entrepreneur Juan Carlos Maldonado, the JCMC has an ever-expanding art collection that is activated by public programming and includes dynamic exhibitions, scholarly publications, and loans of works to institutions.

The Rubell Museum opened in Miami&rsquo;s Allapattah neighborhood in December 2019. Originally launched in 1993 as the Rubell Family Collection, the institution was renamed the Rubell Museum to emphasize its public mission and expand access for audiences. In October 2022, the Rubell Family opened a second museum in DC&rsquo;s Southwest neighborhood that serves as a place for the public to engage with the most compelling national and international artists of our time.&nbsp;

Consistently named to lists such as the ARTnews Top 200 Collectors, the Margulies collection is considered by curators, critics, artists, dealers and collectors as one of the most important collections of its kind. With a stated mission of education in the arts, the Warehouse has welcomed thousands of students and visitors from all over the world. The Warehouse is operated and funded by the Martin Z. Margulies Foundation, a thirty-year resource for the study and enjoyment of the visual arts. The longtime curator of the collection is Katherine Hinds.
