What to see and do during Art Basel Cities Week in Buenos Aires
Featuring exhibition openings, guided tours, artist talks, open studios, parties, and more
For her inventive, multi-venue exhibition ‘Hopscotch (Rayuela)’, Art Basel Cities: Buenos Aires Artistic Director Cecilia Alemani has convened a group of 18 Argentine and international artists to present an array of large-scale, performative, and interactive works in dialog with the urban landscape. Alemani invites viewers to chart their own path among the selected and commissioned projects, including a new, monumental mural from Barbara Kruger, an adobe clay sculpture that doubles as a community oven by Gabriel Chaile, and Mika Rottenberg’s first showing in her native Argentina.
