Art Basel invites you to join the live stream on Thursday, September 10, 2020, here; no pre-registration is necessary. 'The Impact of COVID-19 on the Gallery Sector' will be available for download on Wednesday, September 9, 2020, on artbasel.com/about/initiatives/the-art-market. Written by renowned cultural economist Dr. Clare McAndrew, Founder of Arts Economics, the survey findings present an analysis of how the Covid-19 pandemic has impacted the global modern and contemporary gallery sector throughout the first six months of 2020. The report also presents the results of a survey of High Net Worth Collectors (HNW) – a research collaboration between Arts Economics and UBS conducted in July 2020 – across three major art markets; the US, UK, and Hong Kong SAR (China), with a particular focus on how the COVID-19 crisis has changed their interactions with galleries in the art market. The full report is free to download on the Art Basel and UBS websites.
