After four years of renovation, the Grand Palais - one of Paris's most iconic monuments - began reopning progressively with the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2024. It now hosts exhibitions and events as part of a vibrant and festive program led by GrandPalaisRmn. As a central partner in the Centre Pompidou's constellation, the Grand Palais presents four major exhibitions each year in its main galleries, co-produced with the Centre Pompidou. Its nave, auditoriums, and other spaces are home to performances and large-scale events, while the Salon Seine features dedicated spaces for young audiences and educational programming designed by the Centre Pompidou.

The collections of the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris feature works from all major artistic movements since the beginning of the 20th century. The museum exhibits exceptional in situ works of art such as the first two versions of Matisse&rsquo;s Dance (1909-1910) and Raoul Dufy&rsquo;s masterpiece The Electricity Fairy (1937).

Musée d’Orsay

Founded in 1947, the Comit&eacute; Professionnel des Galeries d&rsquo;Art represents galleries in France and defends their interests with the political, institutional and administrative authorities. It takes part in the elaboration of art market regulations and contributes to cultural policies favouring the development of the whole sector.

The Petit Palais, built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition by architect Charles Girault, became the Mus&eacute;e des Beaux-Arts de la Ville de Paris in 1902, and displays a stunning collection of paintings, sculpture, furniture, and objets d&rsquo;art dating from antiquity up to 1914.<a href="https://museeyslparis.com/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"> </a>

Petit Palais*

The Palais d'I&eacute;na is home to the headquarters of the Economic, Social and Environmental Council of France. Opened in 1937, this building is the architectural chef d'oeuvre of Auguste Perret. Usually close to the public, it hosts an art exhibition once a year.

Palais d’Iéna

The Mus&eacute;e de la Mode de la Ville de Paris, housed in the Palais Galliera, recounts a history of fashion from the 18th century to the present day and gives the public the opportunity to discover different approaches to fashion, between artistic creation and socio-cultural phenomenon, as well as to discover its major figures.

In 1750, the Mus&eacute;e du Luxembourg was the first museum of ancient art open to the public. Musée des Arts Décoratifs

The Arab World Institute is a cultural hub resulting from a partnership between France and the Arab League states. Equipped with a museum, temporary exhibition spaces, a library, an auditorium, a center for Arabic language and civilization, and a bookstore, the IMA offers a rich program covering all areas of art and culture in the Arab world: heritage, visual arts, photography, music, dance, theater, cinema, talks, and educational activities for young audiences.

Arab World Institute*

Housed in a magnificent 17th-century town house, the Mus&eacute;e d'art et d'histoire du Juda&iuml;sme presents a collection on Judaism in Europe and around the Mediterranean, from Antiquity to the present day. Its extensive permanent collection, temporary exhibitions and contemporary art installations make it one of the must see places of the Marais art trail.

Musée d'art et d'histoire du Judaïsme*

The MAC VAL - Mus&eacute;e d&rsquo;art contemporain du Val-de-Marne is the only museum to have been devoted exclusively to the art scene in France since the 1950s. The museum&rsquo;s project has been developing for some fifteen years, following the creation in 1982 of the Fonds D&eacute;partemental d&rsquo;Art Contemporain. The collection comprises 2,500 works by nearly 400 artists. Among them are works by major artists on the art scene, as well as works by emerging artists, confirming the MAC VAL&rsquo;s commitment to being as close as possible to contemporary creation.

Since the artist&rsquo;s donation in 1916, the Mus&eacute;e Rodin boasts, in an eighteenth-century mansion and its sculpture garden, the greatest collection of works by the French sculptor. The splendor of the setting and the beauty of Rodin&rsquo;s art combine in an extraordinary harmony that makes the Mus&eacute;e Rodin a haven of peace at the heart of Paris.

Since September 2022, Grand Palais Immersif occupies a section of the Op&eacute;ra Bastille&rsquo;s &ldquo;modular hall&rdquo; as a new location dedicated to digital exhibitions. It holds two exhibitions a year, both offering memorable experiences by bringing audiovisual, narrative, interactive and immersive content together in a space the public can explore freely.

Since opening in 1996, the MEP remains the primary French institution dedicated to photography in all its forms. Our exhibition programme includes both internationally recognised and emerging photographers and film-makers, highlighting the diversity of artistic approaches to contemporary lens-based practices. Including a world-class collection of photographic prints and artists films from the post-war period, and one of the largest specialised research libraries in Europe, the MEP is without equal in Paris.

Maison Européenne de la Photographie*

Listed as a historical monument, the Carr&eacute; de Baudouin dates back to the 18th century and&nbsp;has housed a variety of private, social and educational functions.&nbsp;It is attached to the 20th arrondissement town hall and dedicated to contemporary art.

Reiffers Art Initiatives is a philanthropic foundation devoted to emergent contemporary artists, with a special emphasis on cultural diversity. Located just a short walk from the Arc de Triomphe, the foundation showcases artists from the French art scene or with a strong connection to the country. Its annual program includes two notable exhibitions: the Mentorship Exhibition during Art Basel Paris and the Reiffers Art Initiatives Prize Exhibition in April.

Reiffers Art Initiatives

Within walking distance of Montparnasse, the Bourdelle Museum combines the charm of its studios with the poetry of its sculpture gardens. These premises were once home to the sculptor Antoine Bourdelle (1861-1929), who was Rodin's assistant and Giacometti's teacher, until his death in 1929. The layout of the museum takes visitors through the variations in his sculptural work.&nbsp;

Inaugurated in 1889, the Mus&eacute;e Guimet today houses one of the richest collections of Asian art in the world, and the largest in Europe, with some 60,000 pieces spanning 7 millennia of history - from Afghanistan to Japan, via India, China and South-East Asia.

The BnF&rsquo;s new Museum covers the full extent of the Library&rsquo;s collections, from Antiquity to the present day. Rare, emotive and often surprising items are on exhibition within its walls, along an itinerary that takes in the Richelieu site&rsquo;s most beautiful areas. From books to manuscripts, by way of jewellery, coins and medals, maps and plans, musical scores, prints, posters, costumes and photographs, almost 900 outstanding works await your discovery in the heart of Paris.

The BnF Museum

The Cognacq-Jay museum houses the collections bequeathed to the City of Paris by Ernest Cognacq (1839-1928). The museum gathers a rich collection of paintings, sculptures, porcelains and decorative arts from the 18th century.&nbsp;

Cognac-Jay Museum 

LE BAL is an independent exhibition, publishing, reflection and educational center, dedicated to contemporary images in all their forms: photography, video, cinema, new media. Its educational center, La Fabrique du Regard, has been working since 2008 to train young people in and through the image.

The Giacometti Institute, located in the Montparnasse district where Alberto Giacometti lived and worked for the entirety of his career, is home to the artist&rsquo;s reconstructed studio as well as temporary exhibitions and a Modern art reference library.

The Magasins G&eacute;n&eacute;raux are a cultural venue created by BETC in 2017. Open to all, the Magasins G&eacute;n&eacute;raux are a place for creativity, ideas and emerging voices. Housed in a renovated industrial building &mdash; a former 1930S general store &mdash; located on the banks of the canal de l&rsquo;Ourcq in Pantin, the Magasins G&eacute;n&eacute;raux curate a year-round program of exhibitions and events with the purpose of identifying, supporting and showcasing today&rsquo;s emerging artistic and cultural scene.

Les Magasins Généraux 

The&nbsp;Institut Su&eacute;dois offers free admission to contemporary art exhibitions and multidisciplinary events&mdash;music, cinema, literature, performing arts...&mdash;as well as a permanent exhibition of 18th-century paintings and engravings. Since its opening in 1971, it has been housed in a private mansion in the heart of the Marais. The FIKA caf&eacute;, located in the courtyard, serves a seasonal menu inspired by the S&ouml;rmland region. The garden provides a peaceful haven year-round, punctuated by 20th-century sculptures. The Institut Su&eacute;dois is Sweden&rsquo;s only cultural institute abroad. It fosters cultural and artistic exchange between France and Sweden through its programming, artist and researcher residencies, and Swedish language courses..

POUSH is an innovative structure dedicated to contemporary artistic practices. The CENTQUATRE-PARIS is a space dedicated to artists residencies, production and diffusion. It gives access to the whole range of current arts, of all disciplines, across a firmly popular, contemporary and challenging program. It is an atypical place, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and offers free spaces for artistic practices and early childhood activities.

The Maison de l&rsquo;Am&eacute;rique latine is a privileged venue for hosting meetings and exhibitions for the Latin American cultural and diplomatic community in Paris. It is a crossroads of cultures, a place for encounters and exchanges, where all forms of artistic expression come together.

Hangar Y - a cultural and event venue at the crossroads of art, science and technology, history and nature &ndash; is an out-of-the-ordinary place with its historical building, emblematic of late 19th century industrial architecture, surrounded by a park stretching out over 10 hectares. Every year, two exhibitions, conceived by guest curators and the Hangar Y teams, will provide a new dimension to the historical building&rsquo;s rich heritage, between dreams for flight, a thirst for adventure and celestial fascination.

Founded in 2003, B&eacute;tonsalon is a center for art and research located within the University of Paris Cit&eacute; since 2007. The program includes solo and group exhibitions by emerging, re-emerging, established and forgotten artists; multidisciplinary events with emphasis on attentiveness and interchange; cultural liaison and research into experimental and educational methods; research and creation residencies; and a miscellany of off-site activities for various publics, built in collaboration with local, national and international organisations.

KADIST is a non-profit contemporary art organization that believes artists make an important contribution to a progressive society. Its local hubs in Paris and San Francisco organize exhibitions, physical and online programs, host residencies, and develop international collaborations with leading museums too.

Located in a former secondary school near Paris, Artagon Pantin is a place of work, production, training and resources for artists and cultural professionals at the beginning of their career, working in all art fields. It welcomes 50 artists and professionals for 18-month promotions. Spread over more than 6,000 m2, it is committed to promoting the emergence of new and diverse voices, ideas and practices, in close collaboration with local partners and its neighbors. Throughout the year, Artagon Pantin offers training courses, meetings and events, as well as an extensive cultural program.

La Ga&icirc;t&eacute; Lyrique is a City of Paris cultural center that seeks to address pressing cultural, social, democratic and climate issues. The Factory of our times project combines creation and social engagement to help people put ideas into practice as they gather together for a concert, roundtable, drink, performance, workshop or screening. La Ga&icirc;t&eacute; Lyrique is open daily to support a new generation of talents, break down barriers between practices and audiences, and build new narratives on a European scale.&nbsp;

The Fondation Fiminco has rehabilitated a former industrial site in Romainville, just outside Paris and accessible by metro, turning it into a resource center for artists open to everyone. This new FAST cultural district brings together in a single location all the ingredients needed to create a genuine ecosystem for contemporary creation: an artists&rsquo; residency, exhibition and mediation spaces, galleries, and soon performing arts structures, craftspeople and a 600-seat auditorium.
