Wong Ping, a lockdown journal, May 2020.&nbsp; Day 01The world has stopped, and that fits my naturally slow rhythm.Day 03Thanks to the law of attraction, our desire to live in a sci-fi world has been fulfilled.Day 05Home offices for the homeless.Day 06The Pantone color of the year 2020 is 19-4052 Classic Blue – instilling calm, confidence, and connection. This enduring blue hue highlights our desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.Day 08On Mother’s Day, I insisted on continuing the social distancing I’ve maintained with her for the past 36 years.Day 10Found about 237 ants at home, and they were all maintaining a 10 cm social distance from each other.

Day 12Signing online petitions has become my new pastime.Day 13Social-media influencers continue to influence sentient beings in front of their mirrors at home, every day.Day 14Thought about inviting you.Day 15Hans Christian Andersen wrote in his journal that he masturbated at home after chatting with women. I imagine he used the same pair of almighty hands to write his popular fairy tales afterward.Day 16This is the best time to be thrown in jail as I need to isolate anyway. I have decided to withdraw my words.Day 28I could hear the whisper of my anus in the silence.Day 33Eyes are stinging. I keep rolling my eyeballs in front of the mirror but can’t find out why they hurt.Day 35Seem to cough more than usual; feel warmer in my body. My lungs must have turned gray!Day 36Failed to feed the T. rex with bananas.Day 38Crying for a minute burns about 1.3 calories. Laughing for a minute burns about 3 calories.

Day 39Interested in the bits and bobs wedged in your couch.Day 41Eighth day of learning how to cut onions via YouTube. Still cry.Day 42Eyeballs still hurt. Kept crying in the afternoon and thought that I was just too lonely. Ran to the mirror and saw a hair right across my eyeball. I yanked it out and found that it was longer than my own hair. I have been isolating for a while, so whose hair was that?Day 46Want to build a gigantic alarm for waking up dormant volcanoes, but I figured that volcanoes are planet earth’s anuses.Day 47Art critics are keyboard warriors.

Day 49Knowing how to search for knowledge accurately is more important than knowledge per se.Day 50The porn-film director Toru Muranishi: ‘Porn films featuring housewives sell well now. Their pregnancy lines, cesarean-section scars, sagging breasts, and surprise milk sprays.
