Driving past the Casablanca hotel when I was 10 years old.

South of 5th Street on Miami Beach.

South Beach.

Which Miami neighborhood should visitors stay in to feel like a local?
Flamingo Park.

Your favorite place for breakfast?
Puerto Sagua – go for great Cuban food.

What can you only do in Miami?
Cloud watch… and eat at Puerto Sagua.

Where do you go out in Miami?
There’s a great stretch along Bay Road with a few good spots. Lately, Lucali’s has become my favorite for dinner.

Which work of art best represents Miami?
Coral Castle.

If you could wake up anywhere in Miami during Art Basel, where would it be?
An oceanfront room at the Shelborne!

Your best advice for someone visiting the city?
Rent a scooter to get around.
