  • Art Basel Miami Beach will bring together 272 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and territories across its sectors and Zero 10, presenting artistic production from the Americas within an international field and affirming the show as the most significant commercial moment in the U.S. art market calendar.
  • New in 2026, the fair presents a more focused gallery line-up across a substantially reconfigured showfloor. Drawing on feedback from exhibitors and the Selection Committee, the redesign opens sightlines and distributes blue-chip exhibitors throughout the show, bringing programs of different scales into closer proximity.
  • More than 30 galleries participate for the first time, most through the project-based sectors Nova, Positions, and Survey. Latin America and the Caribbean are represented in depth, with Brazil forming the show's third-largest national contingent. Notable participation from Los Angeles and Chicago and a strengthened South Florida presence further distinguish the line-up.
  • Zero 10 returns with Generation, its largest presentation yet, bringing together 19 projects by artists including Jon Rafman, Refik Anadol, and Sarah Meyohas. Curated by Karen Archey with Eli Scheinman, the presentation sees expanded participation from established galleries. Nicole Sales Giles joins Art Basel as Zero 10's first Global Head.
  • Beyond the showfloor, the Turrell Art Foundation and Art Basel, supported by Pace Gallery, will unveil a significant new body of work by James Turrell outdoors, free to the public. Public Art Fund will bring Between Tides, a participatory exhibition of artistdesigned ping-pong tables, to Collins Park.
  • The Art Basel Awards return in partnership with BOSS, with the Gold Awardees revealed at the Official Art Basel Awards Night on Thursday, December 3.
  • Art Basel Miami Beach, whose Global Lead Partner is UBS, takes place December 4–6, 2026, at the Miami Beach Convention Center, with VIP Preview Days December 2–3.

Art Basel today announced the exhibitor line-up and first program highlights for the 2026 edition of Art Basel Miami Beach, taking place at the Miami Beach Convention Center from December 4–6, with VIP Preview Days on December 2 and 3. Each December, the leading international art fair in the Americas draws global attention to artistic production across the region, bringing the programs of the world's foremost galleries into the American market at the year's most significant commercial moment for the U.S. art market.

This year's show will feature 272 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and territories. Across its four sectors, 254 galleries will present museum-caliber Modern and postwar works alongside the contemporary practices defining the field today. Zero 10, Art Basel's global initiative for art of the digital era, brings together a further 22 galleries and platforms, four of which also participate in Galleries.

A Reconfigured Showfloor

Unique among Art Basel's shows for its single-floor format, Art Basel Miami Beach will introduce a substantially reconfigured layout in 2026. The new plan reflects feedback from the Selection Committee, exhibitors, and visitors, while advancing Art Basel's ambition for a more focused, navigable fair with stronger conditions for galleries and collectors.

To create a more concentrated setting for gallery presentations, the fair will occupy approximately 12% less floor space, while Galleries, its main sector, will feature approximately 10% fewer exhibitors. The reconfiguration is organized around four hospitality plazas rather than five, creating longer sightlines across the Convention Center and making the fair easier to navigate in its entirety. Blue-chip galleries previously grouped in one area will be distributed across the showfloor, placing programs of different scales, profiles, and geographies in closer proximity.

Bridget Finn, Director of Art Basel Miami Beach, said:

"The redesign begins with the galleries: how their artists and programs are presented, and how collectors encounter them. Our exhibitors have reinforced the value of a more focused environment, and the smaller footprint is a deliberate choice in service of that. Each presentation will have room to command attention. When collectors move beyond familiar routes, discovery follows — and that is where the most meaningful conversations begin. This is about sharpening the show's impact and creating the strongest conditions for our galleries to thrive."

Exhibition Sectors

Art Basel Miami Beach comprises four sectors. In 2026, Galleries convenes 204 exhibitors. Within it, Kabinett features 28 focused presentations embedded within exhibitors' booths, offering concentrated encounters with individual artists, historical bodies of work, and thematic projects.

Nova features 20 galleries with presentations centered on new work by up to three artists, while Positions comprises 12 solo projects by emerging artists. Survey brings together 16 historically focused presentations by 18 galleries, foregrounding artistic practices deserving renewed attention. More than 30 galleries participate in Art Basel Miami Beach for the first time in 2026, most of them through these project-based sectors, whose changing line-ups introduce new work, emerging voices, and historical rediscoveries with each edition.

Across the roster, seven galleries return to Galleries following periods away from the show: Pilar Corrias, DC Moore Gallery, Alison Jacques, Kerlin Gallery, Modern Art, Edward Tyler Nahem, and Mariane Ibrahim. Selma Feriani Gallery (La Goulette) returns after an eight-year hiatus, making its Galleries debut following participation in Nova in 2018. First-time participants Arario Gallery (Seoul) and Galería Casado Santapau (Madrid) debut directly in the main sector.

Selected highlights from Kabinett, Nova, Positions, and Survey are detailed in the Exhibitor Highlights section at the end of the full press release linked above. The complete list of participating galleries, together with artists presented in Nova, Positions, and Survey, is available here. Further details of presentations in Galleries will be announced in the coming weeks.

Geographic Reach

Latin America and the Caribbean

Across the show's sectors, more than two-thirds of galleries operate spaces in the Americas. The 2026 line-up encompasses galleries from Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Peru, Chile, Guatemala, Cuba, and The Bahamas, with Brazil once again representing the show's third-largest national contingent.

Longstanding regional anchors return—including Raquel Arnaud (São Paulo), OMR (Mexico City), Simões de Assis (São Paulo, Balneário Camboriú, Curitiba), Galería Sur (Punta del Este), Ruth Benzacar Galería de Arte (Buenos Aires), Nara Roesler (São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, New York), Almeida & Dale (São Paulo), Isla Flotante (Buenos Aires), A Gentil Carioca (Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo), Mendes Wood DM (São Paulo, Brussels, New York, Paris), and Gomide&Co (São Paulo)—alongside a rising generation gaining recognition locally and internationally.

El Apartamento, the first gallery based in Cuba to participate in Art Basel Miami Beach, returns in Galleries. Galería Isabel Aninat (Vitacura) also advances to the main sector following a previous presentation in Nova. Further perspectives from the region enter through the project-based sectors: de Sousa Galería (Buenos Aires) and Galería de las Misiones (Montevideo, José Ignacio, Menorca) make their show debuts in Survey, while Galeria Nora Fisch (Buenos Aires) and TERN Gallery (Nassau) join Positions.

Depth and Breadth Across the U.S.

Los Angeles and Chicago bring particular depth to this year's U.S. participation. Twenty-three galleries across the show's sectors operate spaces in Los Angeles. Luis De Jesus Los Angeles and Nazarian / Curcio advance to Galleries, while first-time exhibitor Mariposa joins Survey and Moskowitz Bayse and Sea View enter Positions. Chicago is represented in the main sector by Gray, moniquemeloche, Document, Patron, and Mariane Ibrahim.

South Florida's presence is similarly strengthened. Established exhibitors from the region, including Fredric Snitzer Gallery, David Castillo, Gavlak, and Nina Johnson, return, while Spinello Projects makes its Galleries debut following earlier participation in Nova. The roster also reflects continued investment in the region's gallery landscape: El Apartamento opened a Miami space in late 2025, and Eric Firestone Gallery expanded to West Palm Beach earlier this year. Survey welcomes first-time participants Omer Tiroche Gallery, The Bonnier Gallery, and Andrew Reed Gallery, while Piero Atchugarry Gallery advances to Galleries.

This year's New York contingent brings first-time participants across three sectors, alongside a series of sector advances. Storage, King's Leap, and Harkawik join Positions; Sargent's Daughters and Marinaro enter Nova; and Fort Gansevoort debuts in Survey. Ryan Lee, Lomex, and Welancora Gallery make their Galleries debuts following project-sector presentations in 2025, and Yancey Richardson Gallery returns for the first time since participating in Nova in 2021. Nova also features returning exhibitors Sebastian Gladstone, Theta, and Kate Werble Gallery, while Margot Samel shares a Survey booth with Temnikova & Kasela (Tallinn).

Participation from Houston, San Francisco, Philadelphia, and Portland—including Adams and Ollman, returning after a hiatus—further reflects the show's commitment to representing the breadth of the American gallery landscape beyond its traditional centers.

International Presence

The 2026 edition brings substantial gallery contingents from the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and South Korea into dialogue with the Americas. The roster also includes galleries from Canada, Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, Nigeria, Uganda, the Philippines, and Singapore.

Across the show's sectors, five countries will be represented for the first time: The Bahamas through TERN Gallery (Nassau); Estonia through Temnikova & Kasela (Tallinn); Georgia through Bukia Vakhania (Tbilisi); Ghana through Gallery 1957 (Accra, London); and Hungary through Ani Molnár (Budapest). Together, they extend Art Basel Miami Beach's reach as a critical point of exchange between the American and international markets.

The breadth of the roster is matched by the caliber and range of its participating programs. Major secondary-market dealers including Acquavella Galleries, Cardi Gallery, Galerie Karsten Greve, Gray, Skarstedt, Tornabuoni Art, and Vedovi Gallery bring significant Modern and postwar depth. Blue-chip participation includes Gagosian, Hauser & Wirth, David Zwirner, White Cube, Pace Gallery, Lisson Gallery, Paula Cooper Gallery, Galerie Max Hetzler, Thaddaeus Ropac, Sprüth Magers, Esther Schipper, and Xavier Hufkens. Alongside them, an extensive field of established and mid-sized galleries—including Luhring Augustine, neugerriemschneider, Edel Assanti, Johyun Gallery, Nanzuka, David Kordansky Gallery, and Tina Kim Gallery—brings further generational, geographic, and curatorial range to the show.

Galleries whose own footprints bridge these markets further embody the show's international proposition. Mendes Wood DM, Nara Roesler, Leon Tovar Gallery (New York, Bogotá), mor charpentier (Paris, Bogotá), and Galerie Nordenhake (Berlin, Mexico City, Stockholm) combine international reach with sustained engagement in artistic production across Latin America.

Zero 10

Zero 10 returns one year after its launch at Miami Beach in 2025. Titled Generation, its second Miami Beach edition is the initiative's largest presentation to date, completing Zero 10's first global cycle following editions in Asia and Europe. The initiative advances Art Basel’s long-term commitment to artists working with digital technologies, and to strengthening how their work is created, exhibited, contextualized, and collected within the international art market.

The appointment of Nicole Sales Giles as the first Global Head of Zero 10 marks the beginning of a new phase for the initiative. Sales Giles, who joined Art Basel in September 2026, will lead its strategic direction and shape its evolution as a year-round global platform. Her mandate includes deepening engagement with artists, galleries, studios, collectors, and institutions; developing new curatorial, commercial, and institutional opportunities; and building the partnerships and frameworks required to support digital practice and collecting internationally.

Generation is curated by Karen Archey with Eli Scheinman. Archey is Head of the Curatorial Department at Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf and served as Curator of Contemporary Art at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam from 2017 to 2025. She brings extensive experience commissioning digital and time-based work and introducing such practices into museum collections. Scheinman, who has shaped Zero 10 since its inception and curated its inaugural Miami Beach presentation in 2025, continues as Strategic Advisor to the program alongside Sales Giles. The exhibition extends the curatorial model introduced in Basel, where artist Trevor Paglen became Zero 10's first external curatorial collaborator.

Archey said:

"The exhibition's title points towards a productive double meaning: to 'generation' as the computational process through which images, forms, and experiences are produced, and to a new generation of artists reckoning with the systems and imaginaries of the digital age."

Spanning physical and digital media, Generation brings together 19 projects by artists and collectives including Jon Rafman, Refik Anadol, Random International, Sarah Meyohas, Studio Drift, LoVid, Harm van den Dorpel, Daniel Rozin, and Yatreda, among others. The projects are presented by 22 galleries and platforms from across the digital art ecosystem, reflecting expanded participation by established galleries. Sprüth Magers returns following participation in Basel, while Boesky Gallery, Miami's Fredric Snitzer Gallery, and DE SARTHE—presenting in collaboration with returning participant Nguyen Wahed—join Zero 10 for the first time. All four also participate in Galleries. The wider roster includes Art Blocks, bitforms gallery, Galerie Charlot, OFFICE IMPART, and TAEX.

Selected projects are detailed in the accompanying Exhibitor Highlights supplement. The complete list of participating artists and exhibitors is available here.

Cultural Programming Across Greater Miami and South Florida

Beyond the showfloor, public art, talks, and cultural collaborations will unfold across Greater Miami, alongside exhibitions at leading museums, foundations, and private collections throughout South Florida.

The 2026 edition introduces an expanded outdoor public program, with two major projects presented free to the public beyond the Convention Center. The Turrell Art Foundation and Art Basel, supported by Pace Gallery, will unveil a significant new body of work by James Turrell outdoors. Further details on the project and associated programming will be shared in the coming weeks.

In Collins Park, Public Art Fund will present Between Tides, a participatory exhibition of six artist-designed sculptural ping-pong tables by Moko Fukuyama, Ilana Harris-Babou, Las Hermanas Iglesias, Carlos H. Matos, Amalia Pica, and SUPERFLEX. Curated by Gabriela López Dena, Associate Curator of Public Practice at Public Art Fund, the works invite public play while exploring ideas of community, cultural exchange, and ecology. Amalia Pica's solo exhibition Lecturas Posibles opens concurrently at The Bass.

Art Basel's flagship Conversations program will convene leading artists, curators, collectors, writers, and cultural thinkers, with a full day examining the relationship between art and sport. The complete program, together with further onsite and citywide cultural projects developed with Art Basel’s official partners, will be announced in the coming weeks.

Institutional highlights include Yuko Mohri: Unviolated Imperfection, Pedro y Juana: Aquí, and Gabriel Rico: IX Mural from the Series–Reducción Objetiva Orquestada at The Bass. Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) will present Picasso–Klee–Matisse: Masterpieces from the Museum Berggruen, Basquiat: Figures, Signs, Symbols, John Baldessari: The End of the Line, and Anina Major: The Sacred Mangrove. At the Institute of Contemporary Art, Miami, exhibitions devoted to Carroll Dunham and Diego Singh will open alongside a new stairwell commission by Naudline Pierre.

Further presentations include Young, Gifted, and Black: The Lumpkin-Boccuzzi Family Collection of Contemporary Art, Let the Picture Lead: Helen Frankenthaler and Her Circle, and Dustin Yellin: Psychogeographies at the Lowe Art Museum. At the Norton Museum of Art, Gertrude Abercrombie: The Whole World Is a Mystery opens alongside Blazing Light: Photographs by Mimi Plumb. The Margulies Collection at the Warehouse shows Realism: Paintings and Sculptures, Light Installations, and Kinetic Sculpture: Yuko Mohri, with a project room devoted to Jordi Alcaraz and Mimmo Paladino. YoungArts will present Hank Willis Thomas alongside Resident Open Studios at the Miami campus.

Additional exhibitions and programs at the region's museums, foundations, and private collections will be announced closer to the show.

Collector and Institutional Engagement

Art Basel Miami Beach expands its collector and institutional program in 2026, with dedicated initiatives for museum groups and a new generation of collectors. The fair is expected to welcome the largest contingent of museum groups across Art Basel's 2026 shows, alongside a weeklong program of guided visits, intimate conversations, and invitation-only gatherings designed to deepen engagement with galleries and their presentations.

Returning in 2026, the City of Miami Beach's Legacy Purchase Prize and the CPGA–Villa Albertine Prize continue to provide acquisition and financial support to participating artists and galleries.

Art Basel Awards

Introduced in 2025, the Art Basel Awards are the first global honors to recognize excellence across the contemporary art ecosystem. Presented in partnership with BOSS, the program returns to Miami Beach for its second edition, culminating in the Official Art Basel Awards Night on Thursday, December 3. Held at the New World Center in Miami Beach with support from the City of Miami Beach and the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, the evening will reveal the 2026 Gold Awardees, selected through a peer vote among this year's Medalists. Building on the inaugural ceremony hosted by Grammy Award-winning producer Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean, the Awards Night will bring the artists, thinkers, patrons, and creative figures setting the agenda across art and culture.

The 2026 Medalists span nine categories and include artists Barbara Kruger, Howardena Pindell, Jenny Holzer, Arthur Jafa, Julie Mehretu, María Magdalena Campos-Pons, and Theaster Gates, alongside figures and organizations including Laurie Anderson, Hilton Als, Pamela J. Joyner, the Diriyah Biennale Foundation, and the Studio Museum in Harlem Artist-in-Residence Program. The complete cohort of 2026 Medalists is available here.

The evening will also feature the presentation of the second BOSS Award for Outstanding Achievement. Conceived by BOSS in collaboration with Art Basel, the award recognizes a visionary whose recent work has made a significant cultural impact within and beyond the art ecosystem. Artist Meriem Bennani received the inaugural award in 2025.

Beyond recognition, the Art Basel Awards provide Medalists with honorariums, strategic collaborations, international visibility, and high-profile commissions designed to advance their work. Gold Awardees in the artist categories collectively receive more than USD 250,000 each year in flexible support, enabling them to develop and present ambitious work internationally.
