Oh La La!
Oh La La! is a special initiative where Art Basel Paris invites galleries to present new works at their booths on the Friday and Saturday of the fair. This yearʼs edition is art-directed by fashion expert and journalist Loïc Prigent. and the theme will be ʻÀ la mode.ʼ
Exhibitors are encouraged to present works that engage with this concept, whether overtly or through subtle references. Potential sources of inspiration include: style, the political and social meaning of garments, elegance, timelessness, dress as an expression of culture or identity, textile design, the role of the avant-garde in both art and fashion, and the elusive quality of chic. The list of participating artists and galleries will be revealed shortly before the beginning of the fair. As part of Art Baselʼs partnership with Airbnb, visitors will be able to book an exclusive tour of Oh La La! led by Loïc Prigent on October 24 and 25.
Conversations
Our flagship talk series, Conversations, will take place at the Petit Palais from Thursday, October 23, to Saturday, October 25, and will feature 13 panel discussions in English and French.
On Friday, October 24, acclaimed editor and cultural curator Edward Enninful OBE will host a series of talks exploring the creative and cultural impact of the 1990s, serving as a prelude to his upcoming exhibition, ‘The 90s’, which opens at Tate Britain in October 2026. Each panel will feature an in-person discussion between Enninful and a key figure from the decade’s art and cultural landscape, including artists Sonia Boyce DBE RA, Yinka Shonibare CBE RA, Mark Leckey, and photographer Juergen Teller.
Other highlights of the program: Star photographer Tyler Mitchell and Clothilde Morette will discuss photography’s evolving role in shaping cultural memory and Kiddy Smile and Josèfa Ntjam will examine similarities in their approaches to filmmaking and explore how storytelling can become an act of kinship, revolt, and radical re-enchantment.
The Conversations program is free and open to all upon reservation. Browse the full program here.
