Rebecca Horn is considered one of the most versatile and creative artists in Germany. From 1989 to 2009 she was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. The four time participant of documenta - for the first time in 1972 – is internationally known and esteemed. The highlight of her international success was the retrospective presented in 1994 by the Guggenheim Museum in New York, which was subsequently shown at the Nationalgalerie in Berlin and the Kunsthalle in Vienna. Long before "Crossover" became a fashionable phenomenon in contemporary art, Rebecca Horn worked with various media at the same time: drawing, sculpture, installation, kinetics, photography, performance, video, movie and text.
