Sharif follows a set of rules that produce an evolving choreography of lines and angles inside a grid, in this case the transformations of an angular line along six points. This generated over a hundred variations of subtly shifting forms consisting of several draft papers and work sheets, culminating in a single wooden relief evolved from the original system.
