Li Jinghu Constellation, 2015 Installation Metal, wood, rhinestone 200 x 200 x 87 cm Li Jinghu works primarily with sculpture and installation, altering and reworking material accrued in a region renowned as the emerging industrial hub in the Pearl River Delta. Li’s poetically charged work frequently utilize humble materials gathered from his everyday locale, seeking to both capture and transcend the line between collectivity and more personal forms of expression. Li's position is a rather obdurate practice that seeks to unravel and expose the reality emerging at the front lines of China’s industrialization. Combining his subjectivity work-by-work, his artistic output continually explores the affective potential of materials, working in counterpoint to the rhythm of working life there.
