The series of Sticky Tape Transfers arise out of Mikhael Subotzky's continuing attempts to understand the relationship between the physical and representational structures of images. These works are derived from a wide variety of sources; scanned images from Subotzky's book collection, sketches that he has made over the years, photographs he has taken, images from his personal history, photography guide books, encyclopedia’s and other found images.
