Mendez Blake’s work is a meditation of the possibilities and results of connecting architecture, classic literature and culture. His point of depar- ture is always literature, authors and fiction, mainly classic easily recog- nizable authors, like Beckett, Shakespeare, Marx, Doyle, Melville. From there he searches for gaps or stories that are not completed or related with each other using different media to make comments around them. One element of the stage of the work of Samuel Beckett, Ohio Impromptu (1980 ). In the play, one person reads to the other , sitting at a table , on which rests a hat.
