23.6 x 19.7 (inch)In her latest body of work Topography of Light Tina Lechner (*1981 St. Pölten, lives and works in Vienna) uses the camera as an instrument to explore an individual face, depicting personality by creating voids in the centre of the picture. By using her own requisites she radically reduces the portrayed person to a geometrical configuration defined only by light and shadows, edges and planes. This alienation explores the interface between representation and abstraction in portrait photography.
