signed on the left foot, dated and numbered. Edition of 3 + 1 A.P. In the collages of cubism, fragments of real objects were ingeniously integrated into works of art, while the paradox relation of the painted areas and the fragments of reality was revealed. but it was Segal who expanded the collage into a sculpture, where the object and the life sized figure have the same importance. The patina of many of his bronze sculptures is white like the plaster sculptures. In his later works he permitted his bronze sculptures to assert the power and constancy of the human figure within its environment.
