"Down" is a painting composed of four panels (110 x 150 cm), each with its respective compositional order. Here, Bujnowski combines his experiments with the texture of a painting with the creation of an illusory spatial arrangement. There are two groups of figures built into the systemic, abstract structure of the piece, exemplifying the mental and perceptual shortcuts characteristic for the artist's work. The space of the painting suggests a very particular location for the viewer in both a physical and psychological sense.
