Bujnowski consistently pursues the idea of the black canvas, each subsequent work forming something of a cosmological credo. "Candle", the perfectly monochrome triptych in black, displays representations of a candle and its flame. They come to life before our eyes as they are illuminated by just the right angle of light, thus creating a perfect balance between the painting's means and its subject.
