Tassos Pavlopoulos frequently creates incisively satirical narratives based on his extensive knowledge of surrealism and art movements of the early 20th century such as Dada and his symbols are derived from cultural, artistic and personal experiences. With his unexpected juxtapositions of images and words, the artist articulates his personal philosophical thoughts. Used visually, words have always been an important element in his work and in combination with visual images, Pavlopoulos forces the viewer to consider words not only as symbols with meanings but also as images in their own right.
