First featured in the magazine "The Photo Image" in 1969, and later published as a book in 1971, “Embrace” represents a return to the study of the human body. Showing abstract fragments of male and female nudes in intimate placement, these images focuses the attention on the flesh and its form. With this celebration of the pure beauty of the human body, Hosoe attempts to reach a universal expression of corporeality.
