Installation
wallpaint, acrylic glass objects
A wall, some 30 meters long, is composed of painted color fields, carried out with normal wall paint (NCS, RAL) and acrylic glass objects, mounted with metal screws. Gerwald Rockenschaub, an Austrian artist whose work is renowned for the principles of ‘reduction and concentration,’ cuts the objects into irregularly angled or playfully biomorphic shapes or riddles them with holes. As a result, the colors of the sheets blend into new shades, producing multiple visual overlappings and clashes: Neo-Geo, so to speak, with a modern twist.
