Her paintings merge the personal, political, and the theatrical often depicting figures of the in-between, characters on the fringes ill-defined by gender and sexuality, reality and fantasy, or presence and absence. Frank received an MFA in visual arts at Columbia University in 2006 and a BA in studio art from Yale in 2002. In 2003, she received a Fulbright Scholarship to study at the National Academy of Fine Art in Oslo, Norway. Frank has recently exhibited at The Drawing Center, New York; The Blanton Museum of Art, Austin, Texas; the University of Kentucky Art Museum; The University of Texas, at Austin; ACME, Los Angeles; The Rose Art Museum, Waltham, MA; and the National Academy Museum, New York.
