Video/Film
Muxima is the first film by Alfredo Jaar. It is structured around five recordings of "Muxima," an Angolan folk song that serves as the central motif for Jaar’s portrait of a complex and changing society. Muxima (meaning "heart" in the indigenous Angolan language Kimbundu) is “a cinematic elegy dedicated to the people of Angola.”
