the work depicts areas and uxes of exploration of brazilian territory that started in the 17th Century (known as bandeiras movements). Colonial paths overlaps with places of modern and develpmentist infrastructural projects, cutting indigenous areas and reserves (primarily but not only in the Amazon basin). Portrayed dislocated from the political constrains of geopolitical western mapping, this diagram evokes both the plastic nature of territorial politics (in its visuality), as also as an abstract projection that is imposed over reality, pointing to the invisibility that such areas are constrained.
