Rockenschaub‘s series of "Acrylic Glass Inlay" consists of images designed on the computer and then cut out from high quality acrylic glass. The traditional technique of inlay is used here in a contemporary, high tech manner. The cuts are done with laser and are perfectly assembled without showing a trace of a gap. The images appear as abstract constructions on a monochrome surface, however they remind of known graphic motives or real objects, since Rockenschaub takes over fragments of visual culture and translates them into his personal visual language.
