As the title suggests, this work is the result of the artist’s study of living organisms. A variety of animals from different animal kingdom groups have been depicted flawlessly, down to the strands of fur. This could have only been possible from an intense observation and research. It is also clear the artist has put more thought into the composition, form, colour and aesthetic of the piece. While this work accents the artist’s recent surge of interest in academic theories, history and techniques and continued evolution of his style, it also reflects a phenomenon where the viewers have a tendency to associate a certain theory or reason with the way the work is composed.
