Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions for Camera, 1963, merged Carolee Schneemann's body with her painting-constructions. Photographed by the Icelandic artist Erró, this series represents the first time Schneemann incorporated her physical body into the form of her work, permeating boundaries between image-maker and image, seeing and seen, eye and body — hence the title. A vintage edition of Eye Body: 36 Transformative Actions for Camera will also be on view at The ICA: Miami in The Everywhere Studio, the debut exhibition in their permanent location.
