From the series: Offset PA, 2013 - ONGOING The offset printing process employs aluminum plaques and blanket cylinders made of rubber that, as soon as they carry any flaw, will suffer a reduction in size in order to eliminate the imperfection. Whenever a new imperfection is detected, the plaques must continue to be reduced until their tiny size renders them useless. It is at this moment that the artist intervenes and acquires both the plaques and the blanket cylinders to do different works. De la Mora arranges the materials by color and format and, specifically the aluminum plaques used in Offset PA are classified by their degree of wear, brightness, color, or information. On a wooden surface, the fragments are organized following a grid or are sometimes arranged as random, oddly angled interruptions. The works in this series revert values such as unicity and serial production to create something unique through repetition and seriality.
