In the same sense that 20th-Century writers and poets used the 'cut-up' technique in order to concieve new written works with cropped and rearranged text, Dávila develops a similar procedure with his sculptural works by creating vertical, totem-like compositions that expand the definition of sculpture by merging organic and industrial materials, found objects, minimal, figurative and classical elements, as seen in the works of the Panopticon series.
