'Petals and Atoms' is a group of 5 pairs of digital prints.
The image on the left in each pair is the artist photographed - posing, just passing or simply perturbed. The right side of the pair is a reworked, stained detail of her drawing, which is then photographed.
In her encounters with art (Picabia, Shirin Neshat, Giacometti) or with the shaped stains on the fabric-surround, the protagonist constantly hears the hum of time fleeing and feels the pointed gaze of her own inevitable mortality. There is the delight of life misted by the truth of its fragmented nature.
