BolteLang opened its first exhibition with Swiss artist Vanessa Billy in January 2008 and has since played an important role in the Zurich’s art scene, supporting young national and international artists. The gallery was started by locals Anna Bolte and Chaja Lang, who met in London where they spent a good 15 years combined studying art history, contemporary art and working in London’s cultural scene.
