Galerie Hadjer – Modern & Post-War Tapestry | Paris

Founded in 1966 in the heart of Paris’ Faubourg Saint-Honoré, Galerie Hadjer is internationally recognized as a leading specialist in modern and post-war tapestry, with a singular focus on 20th-century master weavings.

Now directed by Emmanuelle and David Hadjer, the third generation of the family, the gallery has built one of the most important programs dedicated exclusively to museum-quality Aubusson tapestries. Combining scholarship, connoisseurship, and rigorous selection, Galerie Hadjer has established itself as a reference in the field of modern tapestry.

The gallery presents rare and historically significant tapestries by major artists of the twentieth century, including Alexander Calder, Le Corbusier, Sonia Delaunay, Alberto Giacometti, Hans Hartung, Fernand Léger, Joan Miró, Pablo Picasso, Jesús-Rafael Soto and Victor Vasarely.

Each tapestry is selected for its rarity, provenance, and excellence of weaving, often produced by the most distinguished Aubusson workshops. The gallery’s curatorial vision emphasizes the dialogue between modern art and the monumental tradition of tapestry, highlighting iconic models that have shaped the history of 20th-century art.
