The proper behavior of all guests is very important to Art Basel and all visitors to Art Basel Miami Beach are required to comply with the following terms and conditions of Art Basel’s Code of Behavior.

At Art Basel Miami Beach, leading galleries present significant works by masters of Modern and Contemporary Art, as well as the new generation of emerging stars, and visitors are provided the opportunity to view such artworks in an atmosphere like no other. Our goal is to create a safe environment to enjoy the show, free from judgment, harassment, and discrimination. Professional and personal decorum are expected at all times during Art Basel Miami Beach, and a visitor’s lack of decorum, determined at the sole discretion of Art Basel, is a basis for attendance to be terminated and for that visitor to be removed from Art Basel Miami Beach. At Art Basel’s discretion, future attendance by anyone who violates these standards may also be curtailed or denied. Lack of decorum includes hate speech, inflammatory statements, fraudulent or misleading conduct, foul language including racial or gender-based slurs, sexual solicitation, unlawful discriminatory conduct, overly aggressive behavior, and slanderous, libelous, or defamatory statements.

Art Basel is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for all attendees at Art Basel Miami Beach. We do not tolerate harassment of attendees, participants, staff, sponsors or organizers from fellow attendees, participants, sponsors, organizers or other parties. Language and imagery by attendees that is abusive, violent and/or sexual is not appropriate at any Art Basel Miami Beach venues. Harassment includes offensive verbal comments about personal appearance, race, national origin, age, sexual orientation, gender, disability, religion or any other characteristic protected by law, intimidation, unwelcome following or stalking, unwanted recording, disruption of events, unwelcome physical contact and unwelcome attention. Attendees asked to stop behavior deemed as harassment are expected to comply immediately. Those found violating this anti-harassment policy may be expelled from Art Basel Miami Beach without a refund and at the discretion of Art Basel. If you feel that you are being harassed or notice that someone else is being harassed during Art Basel Miami Beach, please contact an Art Basel staff member or Art Basel Miami Beach security immediately.

Failure to observe the Code of Behavior may result in removal from Art Basel Miami Beach.
