Our 2018 Conversations series brought together 19 panels featuring leading artists, gallerists, collectors, and critics, programmed by Protocinema Founding Director Mari Spirito.
Louvre Abu Dhabi Director Manuel Rabaté discussed museums' global expansion with Richard Armstrong, Director of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and Foundation; Venice Biennale 2019 Curator Ralph Rugoff debated the point of biennials, and Emily Jacir and Zina Saro-Wiwa talked artists philanthropy and social responsibility. Participants also included Serpentine Galleries Artistic Director Hans Ulrich Obrist, as well as artists Michael Rakowitz, Simon Denny, Haegue Yang, and Isabel Lewis.
