Conversations | Artist Talk | Oh the humanity!

Cécile B. Evans and Susan Pfeffer on the dynamics of art, technology, and the human experience

As referenced by Herbert Oglevee's unforgettable 1937 quote on the Hindenburg disaster, this talk contemplates man's relationship to technology. Artist Cécile B. Evans' work examines the influence of technologies on human beings and how the contemporary human condition is shaped by the person-to-machine exchange. In conversation with Susanne Pfeffer, director of the Museum Fridericianum and curator of the German pavilion at this year's Venice Biennale, Evans expands on her current projects, the burning questions she is dealing with in her work, and her visions for the future.
