The rise of Chinese art on the world stage has moved in tandem with China's increasing global presence; from the inclusion of Huang Yong Ping, Gu Dexin, and Yang Jiechang in the seminal 1989 exhibition Magiciens de la Terre, and Harald Szeemann's foregrounding of Chinese artists at the 1999 and 2001 Venice Biennales, to the proliferation of galleries, museums, auction houses, and art fairs in China since the late 20th century.There has been a recent focus among artists, curators and art institutions to reimagine China from transnational perspectives, and take the cultural understanding of "China" beyond the boundary of the nation-state. As Covid-19 facilitates further shifts in the art world and beyond, figures working in and with Chinese contemporary art consider how the landscape has evolved with the times.&nbsp;Nikita Yingqian Cai, Deputy Director and Chief Curator, Guangdong Times Museum, Guangzhou, Andrés Jaque, Chief Curator of the 13th Shanghai Biennale, and Ara Qiu, Curator, UCCA, Beijing, joined the art historian and curator Mia Yu.Broadcast live on Thursday,&nbsp;13 May, 2021.&nbsp;
