Lee Seahyun's work, which seems like beautiful Utopia at the first glance, also delivers human-destructed distopia at the same time. Looked from a distance, his painting seems like a simple landscape, however, in fact, his work conveys collapsing buildings and traces of cannonballs, which apparently displays grief memories of Korea. Lee enables the audiences to face the bitter reality that Korea is the only state that is divided and to lead the spectators to rethink about the destroyed territory. Between Red series, which cannot be seen when the viewers only focused on the red color itself. The viewers can track the artist's deep concerns within the works' context so that he can be beyond towards the restrictions that he had faced by using only one color.
